9 of the nine syllabus areas

Every syllabus topic, in Cambridge's own structure

Work through them in order or jump straight to what you need tonight. Each topic page teaches the content, then tests it.

Area 1

Number

Types of number, sets, powers and roots, fractions, decimals and percentages, standard form, limits of accuracy, ratio, rates and money - the arithmetic the whole paper rests on.

Area 2

Algebra and Graphs

Algebraic manipulation, equations and inequalities, sequences, proportion, graphs in practical situations, sketching curves, differentiation and functions.

Area 3

Coordinate Geometry

Coordinates, drawing and reading linear graphs, gradient, the equation of a straight line, parallel and perpendicular lines, length and midpoint.

Area 4

Geometry

Geometrical terms and vocabulary, constructions, scale drawings, similarity, symmetry, angle properties and circle theorems.

Area 5

Mensuration

Units of measure, area and perimeter, circles, arcs and sectors, surface area and volume, and compound shapes.

Area 6

Trigonometry

Pythagoras' theorem, right-angled triangles, sine, cosine and tangent, the sine and cosine rules and the area of a triangle.

Area 7

Transformations and Vectors

Reflection, rotation, translation and enlargement, plus column vectors, magnitude and vector arithmetic.

Area 8

Probability

The probability scale, relative and expected frequency, tree diagrams, Venn diagrams and combined events.

Area 9

Statistics

Exam practice

The part that turns knowing into marks

Knowing the content and scoring marks are two different skills. These tools train the second one.

Command words

Every command word Cambridge uses, what it actually means, and what the examiner wants to see. Includes a trainer that shows you the difference between a 1-mark and a 2-mark answer to the same question.

Open

Question bank

Every question on the site in one place. Filter by topic, command word, marks or AO1/AO2, then build a set and mark yourself against the scheme.

Open

Why students lose marks

Real student answers that score badly, the exact reason each one loses marks, and the version that scores. This is where most marks are quietly thrown away.

Open

Quick 10

Ten random questions. Get a score, a breakdown by area, and a focused follow-up set built from whatever you were weakest on.
